One more room down in the renovation! This poor Guest Bedroom has been completely neglected since we moved into the house. It was filled with random furniture from Joshua and I’s childhood and an old 15 year old mattress. 

Here’s the design board that I created for our guest bedroom!

I knew for our next bedroom renovation that I wanted to do an accent wall and after researching inspo images on Pinterst and my love for our black island in our kitchen, I decide to do a black accent wall. We partnered with Clare Paint on our accent wall paint and it was the best experience I’ve ever had with a paint company.  You are able to pick your paint colors and any supplies you need. You never even have to go to the store…it’s amazing. We decided upon the color, Blackish, and it was the perfect Black hue for our accent wall. 

For our mattress for the bedroom, I knew we wanted to do some sort of “Mattress in a Box.” Joshua and I have a memory foam mattress in our Master Bedroom and WE LOVE IT! We found this company, Layla Sleep, that  provide copper-infused mattresses that allow for a cooler and cleaner sleeping experience! Their mattresses are made in the USA, have a 120 night money back guarantee, and also have a lifetime warranty! They even have a Soft/Firm side on the mattress that can be flipped depending upon which style you like best.

And look at those gorgeous wall sconces! I knew that for our guest bedroom I wanted to do sconces on the wall for guests because I love the look and I wanted something a little bit different than lamps. We went with the Ellerbeck Light Wall Sconce in Natural Brass from Kichler! We decided to not hard wire them in since we were going to have nightstands on each side of the bed and we still love the way they look! We also changed out the fan in the bedroom and we are so glad we did! I am pretty sure the fan that was in here was original to the house (from the 80’s!.) We decided on the Imari LED Matte White Fan from Kichler! I love the the contrast of the natural wood/white fan against the black wall.

For our furniture, we partnered with The Novogratz. We love this company! They have SO MANY great pieces and I will definitely be using them again for other furniture in our house. Their customer service was amazing and they also helped us pair specific pieces for our bedroom. We went with the Nicole Bed in Gold, the Otis Nightstand, and the Otis Dresser. We did end up changing all of the hardware on the dresser and nightstands to match the gold sconces and bed. I love the way it turned out!
